Weapon

Uncommon Artificer Requires Attunement

Finesse

This rapier was an early design of Loui Funée the Ex deputy commander of the city watch in Waterdeep. He made the prototype and blueprint when he was still in school, with the material help of fellow artificers within the city, who watched his talent bloom as he kept inventing.

From the outside it is a simple but decorated rapier, but inside the handle and pommel lays a detailed mechanism made of cogs, arcane wires and enchanted mana stones. It was made with the precision of a clockwork. At the top, inside the tulip petals like guards are arcane emitters and transformers, which are controlled by the mechanism below. The part that actually controls the whole magical system is a small clock like wheel below the guard.

12 hours, 12 spells.

This rapier counts as a Spellcasting Focus for up to 12 of your prepared artificer spells.
The mechanism can store certain procedures and weave patterns beforehand to command the weave to achieve the spell efects with the arcane transformers and emitters. You use the clock-wheel to choose which configuration (spell) to cast with the weapon. When you prepare a new spell, you calibrate the procedure into the rapier's mechanism.

Tulip Shield (2/long rest)

You can cast the Absorb Elements spell without expending a spellslot.
You cut through the elemental attack, absorbing some of its energy with the arcane transformers within the guard before it reaches you. The mechanism then emits the captured energy back along the blade, coating it in elemental power.

12 seconds to die (1/long rest)

As a bonus action, you rotate the clockwork wheel to its final position, beginning a 12-second countdown. The rapier grows progressively hotter as the mechanism counts down, accompanied by mechanical clicks.
At the start of your second turn after activating this property, the countdown reaches zero. A translucent white aura of arcane energy surges from the guard and envelops the blade. The next time you hit a creature with an attack using this weapon within the next minute, the attack deals an additional 4d8 force damage.
While the clockwork wheel is armed, you can't use any other properties of the Noon Tulip
